"Karima El Hakim is the driving force behind Plug and Play's Egypt investments and operations, serving as the Country Director for the global leader in corporate innovation and a top early-stage Venture Capital investor. At Plug and Play Egypt, Karima oversees a wide range of activities, including VC investment, startup acceleration and incubation programs, and corporate innovation advisory services. Her role extends beyond Egypt, as she also spearheads ventures across the African continent. Karima's passion lies in ecosystem building, angel investing in early stage tech solutions, and fostering the growth of startups – expertise that has been recognized throughout her career at Fawry, Falak Startups, and Orascom Development Holding. She holds a BSc. in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo and a MSc in Market Intelligence and Research from Sciences-Po Paris (IEP)."
